Phase 1: Set Your Scope

Scope Worksheet • The ABC Process • Surge Bank

The Scope Worksheet: Start Here!

  • This is the worksheet that begins the entire project. With this document, you’ll set the guidelines that the stuff you make follows.

  • This worksheet is the first thing you will do in the entire project.

You fill it out step-by-step. Allow at least 3x 2hour time blocks over the initial 1 to 2 week preliminary period.

While the worksheet can be completed in a single 2 hour time block, it’s important to process, revise, and sleep on these decisions before we lock them in.

The Creative Process: Week 2

  • This worksheet will take you through the who, what, when, where, how, and why.

This will let you know what days, times, and tools work best for you.

  • Start your second week of preparation with this worksheet.

For best results combine it with immediate action. For the workspace section you might like to change your environment, and for the schedule section you might want to pull up Google Calendar.

The 27th Letter: Week 2

  • A simple instruction: write a letter to yourself in 6 months time.

  • The way you write the letter is up to you. You can write an actual letter and store it somewhere, schedule an email, or even put together a time capsule if that’s your thing.

Phase 2: Weekly Groove

Progress Tracker • Better Quest

Letter Quest: Progress Tracker

  • This is a summary of your Scope and a visual chart on which to track your progress over the 26 weeks.

  • Keep this somewhere accessible!

Having a short hand version of your scope is an easy way to make sure it works. What this looks like is the elimination of tiny procrastination-inducing decisions, like “what to make”, “how to make it”, and “by when”.

The Progress Tracker is designed to be ticked off with each new week of alphabetised input and output.

Don’t panic if you miss a week. This is normal. Progress > Perfection. Slip ups only become spirals with impossible standards. There are recovery weeks built in which can be used to rest or catch up or get ahead. Up to you!
